IN THE MIX: SPRING GLEAMING 2011

For those of you in SF, you know that we’ve been getting some funky weather as of late. Gloomy, rainy and just outright cold. But lucky for us, Spring is officially on its way, and so with that in mind I decided to ‘clean out’ some old nu disco tracks that i’ve had for years with no real opportunity to play out. Some tracks are only weeks old and others years. One even dates back to 1999 believe it or not. This mix is funky, sexy, upbeat and just downright wonderful in my opinion with a lot of heartfelt vocals and warm melodies that will leave a big smile on your face. It will have you shakin’ those hips and tappin’ those feet in no time. Perfect for the office, the studio or the car or wherever you find yourself this lovely weekend. Opening Night: The Letter Collector @ Gallery Hijinks

The opening reception for The Letter Collector at Gallery Hijinks was a great success and a lot of fun this past Saturday night. The show included over fifty artists from around the country and over 100 artworks in all mediums. The show runs until the end of the month with a special night of music and performances taking place on Saturday, March 19th from 6-10pm. The event is part of the neighborhoods “Lunar Mission” Art Walk in conjunction with nearby galleries Guererro, Steven Wolf, Elenor Harwood, Gallery de la Raza, Triple Base and Southern Exposure. Each gallery will be hosting its own special event that night. Anyway, should be a lot of fun. Check out opening night photos from The Letter Collector at Gallery Hijinks below.
